Yoga has the unique ability to alter not only one's physical state, but also has a calming and serene effect on the mind. Alternative therapies have proven to be extremely successful in the healing process as well as palliative care.
Cancer patients participating in regular yoga classes reported a decrease in stress and pain. They also felt an increase in their well being. Yoga can help restore strength, range of motion, and improve lymphatic flow. Yoga can enhance energy, digestion, joint health, circulation, and respiration function. Yoga is a great way to live more comfortably in your body when you have been diagnosed with cancer.
Being a breast cancer survivor, Sandy can honestly share the benefits she received from yoga. The breathing helped her deal with the anxiety of going through her cancer treatments. Teaching and practicing yoga helped her focus on healing her-self from within.
