Beginning Internal Yoga: Entry level classes focused on gentle stretching, breath work, meditation, nurturing the body, and calming the mind. Internal Yoga classes are guided meditations mixed with flowing movements and Hatha yoga postures. No previous experience is required and you may join class at any time. Please phone ahead to be sure there is an open space, and plan on arriving a few minutes early for basic instruction before your first class.
Intermediate Internal Yoga: A more focused class with deeper stretching and moving meditation, still allowing you to participate at your level of ability. This class focuses on growing in the ability to bring the mindset learned in yoga to daily life. No previous yoga experience required, but the student should be interested in improving abilities. You may join this class at any time. Please phone ahead to be sure there is an open space, and plan on arriving a few minutes early for basic instruction before your first class.
Meditation and Healing: Basic instruction in various healing meditation techniques, followed by a guided healing meditation each week. No previous experience required. Join anytime.
Silent Healing Meditation: A silent meditation period begun with a focus on healing of body, mind, and spirit. This experience activates the ability of a group to support individual healing work.
Classes are taught by Douglas MacIntyre, the originator of Internal Yoga. Douglas is a therapist and consultant with over twenty years experience in living and teaching alternative pathways to health and healing. He began studying yoga in 1972, and initiated this style in 1989.
