Kathleen FitzPatrick, MSW, MPA, LCSWKathleen is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in child and adolescent mental health. She trained at Syracuse University, graduating in 1980 with dual master degrees in Social work and Public Administration. She has worked with children and adolescents in various settings, including schools, mental health agencies, public services and secure detention. She has worked as a mental health consultant with Dr. Cretella since 1992.Kathleen's personal interest in and practice of visual art, music, dance and movement, meditation and yoga are reflected in her increasing integration of nonverbal methodologies in her professional work. This has resulted in the pursuit of training and experience in mind-body-spirit healing practices. She is certified in Mind-Body Medicine by Dr. James Gordon's Center for Mind-Body Medicine, Washington, D.C. She has also served as an educational trainer for Cretella Associates and the Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES. She holds a Black Belt in Karate-do and is the mother of two sons. She is an ordained Cherag (minister) of the Universal Worship, a Healing Conductor in the Sufi Healing Order, and a Representative guide and class leader in the Sufi Order International, and is active in the Sufi Order of Rochester, a local chapter of the Sufi Order International. She is also a Certified leader of Dances based on Samuel Lewis's Dances of Universal Peace. Kathleen has been trained in Qigong with Donald Londorf, M.D., Li.A. She is a certified Raphaelite Practitioner and studies the Rosen Method. Kathleen is a founding member of Bismillah and Friends, with Henry. She plays the harmonium and sings lead vocals. Bismillah and Friends has appeared in concert with gifted musicians and recording artists Moksha and Jemal, who also appear on My Longing For Thee, and we enjoy playing for family and friends.
